This piece captures a serene sunset at Thousand Steps, Laguna Beach—a place where my personal history and artistic journey converge. Thousand Steps at sunset will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s the first place I fell in love with my husband 10 years ago, and I finally captured that moment on canvas. Sunsets have always been my favorite—they represent both beginnings and ends, beauty in transition.
This painting is also an homage to my cat, Love Bug, who passed away in April. As I painted, I felt her love reflected in the sky, fading yet still so full of light. 🐾💖
This special acrylic painting is infused with the bittersweet emotions of love and loss. The warm hues of the sunset mirror the emotional depth of that moment, blending memory with nature.
